Harrison

Harrison has almost 10 years' experience in the dog industry.  Harrison grew up in Afton, Virginia and has wanted work with dogs since she was a little girl.  She started as a dog groomer while she was in school to become a professional dog trainer.  After she graduated, she worked her way up to head trainer for the school.  Harrison founded The Virginia School for Dogs in 2019, specializing in Behavior Modification and obedience training for both working dogs and pets.  

Harrison grew up in Afton, Virginia and has wanted work with dogs since she was a little girl.  When she isn't working clients' dogs, she enjoys spending time with her own dogs as well as working her own dogs doing advanced obedience and protection training.  One of her dogs, Ida, is trained as a personal protection dog and often comes to work with her and is used as a demo dog for The Virginia School for Dogs.  Her favorite breed of dog is obviously the German Shepherd.

Tyler has been with The Virginia School for Dogs for almost 2 years assisting Harrison in any and everything dog related.  Tyler is often seen walking, feeding, and loving on the dogs.  He is loved by all dogs and loves giving them special treats throughout the day.  The Virginia School for Dogs is thankful to having him on our team.

Matthew is known as the man behind the scenes at The Virginia School for Dogs.  Chances are if you have reached out to us regarding dog training, he is who you spoke to.  Harrison has known Matthew her whole life and even considers him family.  Matthew started out as a friend who later became a client after Harrison trained both his dogs.  He handles the business side of our business, answering the phone, responding to emails, and keeping Harrison on schedule.
